Pros

I am in it for the money....salaries are competitive.

Cons

4 years ago I thought I had struck the jackpot when I was hired by Avid (still Pinnacle then but already bought by the Big fish) The atmosphere was unlike anywhere else I had worked before. The people were passionate about what they did and Team work was at the core of our values. Flexibility on working hours made the place look like a second home and many employees saw it that way.....THEN our CEO "resigned" and it all went downhill from then on. The new CEO, Gary Greenfield, has no vision and is only worried about numbers. This is transmitted to his executive layer below and that layer passes that onto the next one. The One Avid vision exist only on the surreal world. Teams that used to work together have been isolated now, managers have been hired that have no people's skills, marginating employees further. NOBODY is talking with one another and trying to get some work done can be QUITE frustrating nowadays. Everyone is afraid that they might be next on the furlough list as the outsourcing increases. The managers that were brought in to run the company are all incompetent and ONLY care about showing numbers and pleasing the guy above them. NONE of the concerns from employees are really addressed......EVER. As if some sort of buffer exist or has been put in place to isolate employees. It is really sad what is happening to this company......

Pros

• Some coworkers try to support each other despite the environment • You quickly learn how to handle stress (whether you want to or not)

Cons

• Toxic and reactive management style • Constantly shifting expectations with little to no clear direction • Unrealistic workload with pressure to meet metrics that don’t reflect reality • Lack of accountability from leadership—issues are pushed down instead of addressed • Poor communication across the board, leading to confusion and wasted time • Employees are not supported • Burnout is common and ignored
