No career succession or professional development plans, quarter after quarter layoffs. Ever since their failure of the ERP deployment Avnet has responded to decreasing it's overhead by getting rid of the good people that helped keep that ship afloat. They can't handle the business they choose to pour their profit into in attempt to keep hold of the market share. Instead of truly assessing the shortfall of upper management they are creating a skeleton crew on the floor. If someone quits, they do NOT replace that role and still they will choose quarter after quarter to lay off 10% of their people.
