The other nurses I worked with were great. The pay is competitive for what it is.
Cons
First of all, the CNAs they hire a joke. They can often be found napping in the break room or on their phones at the nurses station. They will get upset if you ask them to actually do their jobs. Secondly, management will not hesitate to completely throw you under the bus the second they get the chance. I once had a patient with a GI bleed with a very low blood pressure, high heart rate, and who was pale and barely responsive, indicating a massive hemorrhage. I elected to call 911 for an ambulance because they needed help immediately. I was then disciplined by management for not calling a medical transport service such as Superior or ATEC (which can take hours to arrive ) because they cost less and 911 is expensive. I chose to do the right thing for my patient and I may well have saved their life. And I got in trouble for it. These people only care about money, they don't care about patients.
