Pros

-Teammates that care -Leadership transparency with Ask Me Anything sessions -Quarterly company meetings to share updates across org -Encouraged to participate in personal development trainings and volunteer -Impactful, relevant, and important work -Fun atmosphere, casual clothing, etc. -Live by company values - not just performative -Investment in D&I/JEDI initiatives -Recognition of peers is frequent -Flexibility - not a precise 9-5 -No "lay offs" like other tech companies

Cons

-Performance reviews with a curve -New leaders come in and set back progress that's been made over several years -Lack of investment in standardization and process improvement -Small teams with high expectations. Difficult to get head count over the years. -Lack of investment in training and developing folks. Opt for "managing out".

Pros

The company has a great mission to protect life. The value of win right is something I think is often lacking in other companies and I have seen how it works well here with external wins.

Cons

As a salary employee I have worked more weekends and holidays than days I have taken off in the time I have been here with hardly a thanks. It’s an expectation that my salary does not cover. I tend to feel like a cog in a wheel rather than a valued individual.
