Pros

Good work life balance, personally my manager cares a lot. DTO is nice.

Cons

The outsourcing is getting out of hand. Not only is it not fair to the offshored employees (i’m positive they are not paid nearly as much as stateside employees for the same title.) It’s completely anti-american to offshore client and provider facing roles for a UNITED STATES based company. Our mission is to be serving STATESIDE. (Not applying our UK base.) They have now outsourced almost all Account Coordinators and now there are talks of them outsourcing some RA’s, which would be a nightmare for the client, provider and recruiter experience. Not only have they outsourced AC’s, they have outsourced other positions who don’t understand our stateside process from a first hand perspective and slow our efficiencies, when they were hired to be more efficient and ‘cost effective.’ It’s super disappointing to see as this company was once proud to be mostly U.S. based employed. Now we are about to be a company full of offshored employees, running a U.S. business. I know i’m not the only one who was once proud to work at this company. I wouldn’t be surprised if they start offshoring recruiters to save money.

Pros

I love working at Aya. I’m motivated to help staff hospitals across the country to bring healthcare to everyone. It’s not perfect, but people DO care about you. I have a rare perspective where I work across many teams including leadership, compliance and operations (as little old admin, bottom of the totem pole) and I have not witnessed the toxic workplace environment some people mention here. People are respectful and the subject of employee satisfaction is always top of mind. I’ve been at Aya for many seasons. Is it the same as COVID? No it’s not. but it was a pandemic and we’re a healthcare staffing company. You don’t want our business to boom like that again, it would mean tons of people are sick and hospitals aren’t staffed. Layoffs were awful and I miss my coworkers that were asked to leave. but the business changed after Covid and demand isn’t the same across the entire industry, not just at Aya Pros: Remote Positive work environment Unlimited PTO Fun events Beautiful office with free food Great coworkers DEI-forward with commitment to equality TLDR: layoffs suck but you don’t want infinite exponential growth in healthcare Expectations are high, but the environment is good and work-life balance is amazing

Cons

Pay is decent but not competitive with tech Growing pains

Pros

I'm responding to Aya's response to my previous review about favoritism.

Cons

The audacity to respond to our reviews and say that Aya does not tolerate favoritism is repulsive and insulting. You're reading all the reviews, you have to see the consistent trend of "micromanagement" and "favoritism" from everyone, in every department. We're not making it up. There is one person in particular in locums who is for whatever reason untouchable and bullying other team members. Those bullied team members are now too scared to say anything about it because they are fearful of retaliation and cannot afford to lose their income or their health insurance. I used to be proud to work here but now I'm disgusted by everything this company does
