Very much a not about what you know more about who you know and it’s openly said by managers. Opps is a complete joke, actually have no idea what they do. Forget asking about new roles it’s all about who you know. Pipeline is very limited in pure consultancy type projects, you are commonly supporting PM’s on delivery led projects. Salary is quite poor, hence the high turnover of consultants you would think this would give HR an indication maybe we should review what our competitors pay who are snapping up all the good talent. Overall consultancy is quite immature lacks structure, and sense of direction people don’t even know what’s the difference between BA offering and a BC offering
