Pros
Great contracting company to work for. Actually works hard to retain their employees, even if that means allowing you to telework for months while you complete a move for a new position like in my case. Superior pay to many of the other titans of the defense contracting industry, and transferring to new internal roles can result in an actual pay bump. Additionally, with it being government work they can't randomly force overtime on you without paying you for them. Definitely worth pursuing roles with BAE.
Cons
They didn't offer a relocation package when I moved for a position. So while they worked with me by having me telework for a while to maintain my paycheck, a lump sum would have been nice for the move. A big one for me, the vesting period for the 401k is 2 years, before which you are 0 percent vested. Very annoying in the contracting world where you might work for 1 year and 11 months but for reasons outside your control lose the contract and potentially all of your unvested 401k balance.
