Pros
Good and smart people, interesting public sector clients for consultants. Decent pay, flexibility and treatment.
Cons
The internal IT estate is awful, not to the point where nothing works it is just all disconnected. Very hard to work out what colleagues are doing for knowledge sharing and networking. Even worse if you end up on the bench where what's going on is completely opaque. Clients are expecting most time on client site now. Always found the performance management process cumbersome. Not very many colleague gatherings.
