Pros

Great coworkers and important work.

Cons

Not compliant with USERRA and they don't care. If you ask about it, they will pass you around to multiple levels of HR, but they won't actually fix the issue. Return from a deployment, expected to go apply to new roles or they will suggest roles to apply to. Forced to interview for lesser roles or new roles rather than being placed in a comparable one as required by law. Roles are not at the same level of responsibility; they promise to close the gap but don't. Unfortunate given their mission statement "We Protect Those Who Protect Us". Apparently, that is only true in words, they push out military who deploy and don't offer equal roles when they return. They get sued often for USERRA violation and throw money at the employees, so they sign an NDA and try to keep it quiet.

Pros

The hybrid schedule is a major benefit and provides a good balance between in-office collaboration and flexibility.

Cons

Career growth can feel limited if you are not originally from Utah or already connected within the local organization. Time off can feel limited compared to the government customer you support. The customer often receives more holidays and administrative leave, but contractor employees may still be constrained by sector policies even when the contract generally follows the customer’s schedule.
