Pros

Flexible schedule, 1:1 care, weekly payment, competitive pay rate. Office employees and admins are very supportive. It's a great place for both inexperienced and seasoned nurses, They offer training until you feel confident.

Cons

No mileage reimbursement, if your client is hospitalized, you may lose hours.

Pros

Work/life balance. You can choose your days and hours.

Cons

No support from office staff to field staff. You can report wrong doing, errors, etc. to them and nothing is done. They like to keep a blind eye, especially when it’s one of their “favorites” Favoritism is out of control! Another person described it as “cult like” I would agree, but would use more of the term cliquish. It’s a mean girls club in the office. If you’re not in the “in crowd” there’s no acknowledgement of your successes or any kind of awards or compensation. They withhold vital info on clients and their needs on purpose. Question everything when taking on a client, they will try to “trick” you into taking difficult clients. Also, if you get the wrong scheduler (there are some good ones) they will leave these poor families without coverage. They’re too lazy to look for replacements if their regular caregivers need off, leaving the clients with no coverage. When they say their hours are 8a-4p… they mean it! Don’t think they’re going to go above in beyond the way they expect the field staff to do.
