Pros

Our staff and clients. Coworkers in the office. Culture and values. New CEO seems very involved. They truly want employees to feel valued. Advance to nursing programs. This is most definitely the best place I have ever worked!

Cons

Too many support offices that every little thing has to go through. State reimbursement is too low to be able to provide field staff with competitive wages.

Thank you for sharing your experience and for being part of BAYADA for more than five years. We’re so glad to hear how much you value your clients, coworkers, office team, and BAYADA’s culture and values. Your kind words about your office director and Regional Nursing Director are also wonderful to hear. Thank you again for your dedication, your leadership as an RN Clinical Manager, and for all you do to support our clients, families, and employees.

Pros

Work/life balance. You can choose your days and hours.

Cons

No support from office staff to field staff. You can report wrong doing, errors, etc. to them and nothing is done. They like to keep a blind eye, especially when it’s one of their “favorites” Favoritism is out of control! Another person described it as “cult like” I would agree, but would use more of the term cliquish. It’s a mean girls club in the office. If you’re not in the “in crowd” there’s no acknowledgement of your successes or any kind of awards or compensation. They withhold vital info on clients and their needs on purpose. Question everything when taking on a client, they will try to “trick” you into taking difficult clients. Also, if you get the wrong scheduler (there are some good ones) they will leave these poor families without coverage. They’re too lazy to look for replacements if their regular caregivers need off, leaving the clients with no coverage. When they say their hours are 8a-4p… they mean it! Don’t think they’re going to go above in beyond the way they expect the field staff to do.
