Pros
perhaps their overall compensation benefits...but it's a lie and joke to say the pay is 'competitive', if you negotiate a 'good' salary, you 'may' be fine, but trying to really go up professionally, or 'relying' on those 'annual raises' ...you will be waiting 10-20 years before you see that 'bump' in compensation
Cons
you never 'catch up' with pay, when problems arise, it's more of a 'who to blame, what to blame, rather than what was the problem, or really finding out the root cause of the problem, it's a major - COVER YOUR OWN @$$ environment, see and hear backtracking, saying one thing one moment and something else the next minute...
