Pros
At every level and facet of the company, there is a thoroughly ingrained culture of respect for people and a feeling that we are all working together. People really live the mantra of 'doing well by doing good' -- and work in line with the corporate vision of 'accelerating the world of health.' It's not just marketing hype -- it's really what we do every day. People smile and greet each other in the halls, in the campus center (cafeteria), and are willing to help colleagues at the spur of the moment, even without knowing each other. Talent and career development is a core strength of this business but you need to drive it yourself -- opportunities are only as good as your ability to recognize and make use of them.
Cons
Company is slow to embrace change and innovation -- 'systems' and 'protocols' that are intended to increase efficiency by 'tracking and reporting performance metrics' can seem to impede the very processes they intend to improve.
