Pros

Hard working co-workers. Company events were fun. Made many friends here.

Cons

Terrible planning and decision making from the upper management. I don't understand how they made it this far based on the irresponsibility I witnessed over the short time I was there. They try to make it seem like a strong family/team environment striving for that "Tigger" attitude but in reality people where worn down, unmotivated, stressed, worried and bitter. Going back to the planning aspect of their demise, they truly have no grasp of the concept. I asked my Director what the short and long term plans were and I received back a quick shrug and a "who knows". There is zero direction and stability in the company as a whole. I'd say a large part of that is because the managers who are experts at their position are overridden by the owners in decision making often producing sub-par results and depleted morale. Also, there really is a "boys club" type of mentality here. The egos of the owners/execs are costing many good people jobs and their livelihoods while the owners pocket millions. During my short time here I witnessed three large rounds of lay offs and many people leaving on their own. Severance from the last major round of lay offs in March has yet to be paid to most if not all the former employees from what I gathered. And I don't doubt it because I still get called from vendors asking for help trying to get paid for their services. It's embarrassing, especially if those vendors are close professional contacts. BDA really has all the symptoms of a sinking ship.

Pros

- Decent base salary if this is your first job out of University. - Free Swag - WFH Fridays - Smart and helpful colleagues

Cons

- Incredibly stressful, do NOT take this job if you do not have a high stress tolerance. - A ton of competing priorities that almost always require quick/immediate action. - You get a ton of emails and are expected to be able to pull up and reference any of them at a moments notice. - Constant whiplash between doing deep, focused work (presentation/catalogs) that have a ton of details and require your full attention versus quick/rapid fire tasks that you must address immediately. There were days where I was working on one presentation all day and couldn't get it done because of how much I was getting pinged to resolve other issues. - To get promoted you must essentially do the job of 2 people (CSC and PSA). Beyond that, there is no real career progression unless you want to go into sales. - Management always says to raise your hand if you need help. But when you ask for help, there is always pushback in the form of others having more task hours than you. - CEO took away one of the WFH days. When Qualtrics had negative feedback he essentially said "If you don't like it - then leave". He is a "Do as I say, not as I do." type of leader. - Workload and responsibilities are not commiserate to the salary.
