Pros

Excellent training in mind-reading and recognising when a certain shiny leadership indicator signals incoming criticism.

Cons

The organisation offers a unique approach to professional development: employees are expected to discover the correct answer through a process of elimination, repeated criticism, and trial-and-error. Direct guidance is limited, presumably because mind-reading is considered a core competency. Training often consists of lengthy explanations of why employees are inadequate, while practical instruction remains a premium feature not included in the programme. Leadership places significant emphasis on company reputation and doing things “the right way”. Ironically, some of the most valuable skills employees develop are managing perceptions and anticipating which answer management would like to hear. The atmosphere in meetings can change rapidly. A sudden increase in reflected light from a certain highly polished leadership surface is often a reliable indicator that a motivational lecture is about to commence. Promotion - based off favouritism instead of merits..

Pros

Consultants were not overworked, and people are generally staying in their own lane. Strong knowlegeable teammates and lots of internal resources to grow. Work life balance was good.

Cons

I left during a time of transition, since the top practice director retired and the EBA leader took over as interim leader. This interim guy seemed to be waiting for something to take any action with current resources, and he was not too interested in rallying or figuring things out as a team. If he had expectations, they were never communicated to me. The lack of clarity was very challenging for me personally, and it came off as a lack of support. I think others in the team probably feel similarly.
