Cons
401k-max 3% if you do 6% Pension-must invest in becu for 5 years Pay- only decent if your in management/back office/tech. New hires can make significantly more than current employees with sign on bonuses. Branches- look old and outdated with a terrible open office layout. Incredibly hard to focus and work with several people in building talking and staring at you. No security when surrounded by homeless/panhandlers constantly In front of branches. Don’t always feel safe. 45 minute unpaid lunch and two 10 minute paid breaks Constant follow up work that gets pushed on the MC’s without allocated time to complete side work for members Numerous employees quitting without addressing why Verbal abuse from members for things out of our control Too many “directions” on the tech side of becu, nobody wants to use numerous programs when we already know what we’re doing and have to use resources to figure out the “new” thing every month or so. Work/life balance- if FT you might work 5-6 days for 8-10 hours, not much time to spend with your family until you get off at close. Printers always seem to never work when needed Card printers constantly acting up Constant back and forth on business casual dress code Lobby sign in system that always malfunctions ( if you know, you know lol) and becu requires breaks and lunches to be tracked.
