Cons
-It can take weeks to find a client partnership that you qualify as an assistant for. These weeks of waiting for a client-match are unpaid. -No PTO - if you take off a week of work, you're expected to make up all of your contracted hours on top of the hours you're already working, and you have to make up those hours all in the same month. -"Flexibility" doesn't really exist. Yes, you work from home. However, if you are wanting to work full time, this means constantly working 8 hours a day, Mon-Fri. If you take off Christmas Day, you're expected to make up those additional 8 hours between December 1st and December 31st. If you take off a week for Christmas, you're expected to make up those 40 hours in addition to the 8 hours/day you're already working, all to be made up between December 1st and December 31st. -Working at BELAY only makes sense if you're wanting to work part-time, but expect to work full-time to make up any hours you take for vacation (this includes special occasions such as weddings, honeymoons, childbirth, emergencies, etc). Not much room for growth - you're eligible for a $1 raise after keeping the same client for a minimum of one year. You might not be eligible for a raise if you've worked at BELAY for over a year or more, but have only maintained client relationships for several months at a time. There is the occasional promotion to the corporate team, but only if you live in the Atlanta, Georgia area.
