Good compensation - including health care (Blue Cross/Blue Shield) and 401k contributions (6% match as of 2016) Somewhat decent people to work with (few and far between)

Cons

Most employees are toxic. Choose to point fingers instead of solving problems. Software is so locked down, you need IT support to install fonts... IBM NOTES!!! The worst e-mail client I have ever seen. Project engineers are incapable, leaving major details out which cost the company millions.

One of the worst onboarding experiences I have been apart of. Since day 1, there have been zero expectations or guidance from the manager. The individual training has basically passed off all topics and files off with zero background knowledge and the cadence of how things operate. It was then expected of me to lead everything in the first 25 days of being on the team. As you could imagine, this has led to direct failure of tasks to be completed. The individual training does not appear to actually want to train, but rather move on to their new role and just get everything off their plate and expect you to understand all topics immediately. Unfortunately, not sure how long this will last and if I will be staying with BENTELER. Based on what I found out after being hired, it sounds like they hired the first person just so the individual could get into their new role as fast as possible without thinking about how the backfill would succeed coming into this role.
