The pay is good for the hourly positions.

Cons

No communication from management. 70+ people were let go in May of 2018 and within a month, HR was recruiting for local temp agencies. The turnover is ridiculously high and managers have little to do with the hourly employees. It is a very "Us vs. Them" mentality coming from the salaried staff. HR is very unapproachable and the upholding of policies is very inconsistent. Quality is non existent and quality issues are not addressed. The only concern is the numbers. Quantity is the only thing anyone is worried about there. We constantly ship bad parts and never follow up on defects and failures.

One of the worst onboarding experiences I have been apart of. Since day 1, there have been zero expectations or guidance from the manager. The individual training has basically passed off all topics and files off with zero background knowledge and the cadence of how things operate. It was then expected of me to lead everything in the first 25 days of being on the team. As you could imagine, this has led to direct failure of tasks to be completed. The individual training does not appear to actually want to train, but rather move on to their new role and just get everything off their plate and expect you to understand all topics immediately. Unfortunately, not sure how long this will last and if I will be staying with BENTELER. Based on what I found out after being hired, it sounds like they hired the first person just so the individual could get into their new role as fast as possible without thinking about how the backfill would succeed coming into this role.
