Pros

The only pro is the pay was decent, started off in Hot Stamp as a Line Tech around 19/hr for 3rd shift. But, it isn't worth it in my opinion. That is honestly the only justification that 99% of the people I worked with had.

Cons

The whole facility is a "CON" the management and team leads make you believe that it is one big happy family when you first start and that you can move up fast with good performance. Sadly that is the complete opposite of the way they do business. If you are an ethical person you will have trouble every day. People openly talk about The drugs that they do and who they do them with. The quality is mediocre. There is no help for The hard worker, just The drinking buddies. The equipment never gets the attention that it needs to put out quality parts and you're not allowed to shut down for anything. The results are: the operator is told to push parts out that are questionable, if they come back from the next process or the customer rejects, it is your butt on the line and you get repremamded. When I was there it was mandatory 6days a week and they "prefered" that you volunteer to work 7. These were straight 8hr shifts with no break unless you could sneak off to the bathroom. The team leads where lazy and half the time sitting in the office or break room. The Plant Manager was one of the biggest jokes they could have added to the company. Talking bad about and belittling employees should result in an immediate termination for someone at that level. IF YOU HAVE A FAMILY STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY, THE PAY ISNT WORTH THE DEPRESSION.

Cons

One of the worst onboarding experiences I have been apart of. Since day 1, there have been zero expectations or guidance from the manager. The individual training has basically passed off all topics and files off with zero background knowledge and the cadence of how things operate. It was then expected of me to lead everything in the first 25 days of being on the team. As you could imagine, this has led to direct failure of tasks to be completed. The individual training does not appear to actually want to train, but rather move on to their new role and just get everything off their plate and expect you to understand all topics immediately. Unfortunately, not sure how long this will last and if I will be staying with BENTELER. Based on what I found out after being hired, it sounds like they hired the first person just so the individual could get into their new role as fast as possible without thinking about how the backfill would succeed coming into this role.
