BENTELER Group

Is this your company?

Honestly? Not that bad. - Production Machine Operator BENTELER Group Employee Review

Pros

Plenty of hours. Actually competitive pay for the industry in this area. Benefits are fairly decent. Occasional opportunities to advance within the company including skilled trades and administrative positions. Tuition reimbursement available for approved skills training. NEW operations opening in this area in the next 12-18 months (maybe late 2025 into 2026).

Cons

Overtime tends to be mandatory when it's needed. Sometimes communication can breakdown (I know this is fairly common).

Cons

One of the worst onboarding experiences I have been apart of. Since day 1, there have been zero expectations or guidance from the manager. The individual training has basically passed off all topics and files off with zero background knowledge and the cadence of how things operate. It was then expected of me to lead everything in the first 25 days of being on the team. As you could imagine, this has led to direct failure of tasks to be completed. The individual training does not appear to actually want to train, but rather move on to their new role and just get everything off their plate and expect you to understand all topics immediately. Unfortunately, not sure how long this will last and if I will be staying with BENTELER. Based on what I found out after being hired, it sounds like they hired the first person just so the individual could get into their new role as fast as possible without thinking about how the backfill would succeed coming into this role.
