Pros

BG definitely ticks upward on the pay. Daily assignments, Not being stuck at any one property management company working for a dictatorial or bad property manager which is very common in the apartment industry.

Cons

Lack of pretty much every healthy work environment trait : Trust , Communication, Employee management which trickles down to a gross mistrust from BG clients. Client properties have zero trust from often incompetent management which makes your duties 3 times more difficult or labor intensive especially when it comes to replacement parts or specialty tools. Section 8 clientele which often have a" Fix at all cost" policy which is not only more labor intensive it poses as a hazard to the residents safety. Handlers assign jobs and have zero respect for the technicians skillset so you maybe making $19.00 picking up after grown adults which leads to less time on assignments because of higher hourly pay.

Pros

People seem genuinely nice and deep down want to help. Decent base pay.

Cons

Nice people, with a lot of ego under the surface. Very reactive. Looking for quick fixes instead of focusing and investing in the root problem.
