Pros

BHG has many amazing things about it for sure. Free health insurance, higher 401k match, free events (massages, concerts, etc). The ability to be remote through the pandemic. And some other things like that.

Cons

The pros do not outweigh the cons. The environment is toxic and the owners aren't much better. In the award ceremonies they pretty much tell you either be happy with what we give you or get out. They harp on people paying attention during the ceremonies and meetings, but the CEO of the company constantly goes off on tangents about Brady and football and a number of other topics that everyone has heard countless times that really have no value anymore. The constant bombardment they send to their employees isn't motivating or positive. It's negative and toxic and demoralizing. They preach work/life balance, but they certainly don't appreciate you as an employee if you actually employ work/life balance. They recognize people who work every single moment of every single day like they claim they do. Even someone who has only worked for the company for a month... Who could possibly have accomplished a lot in a month... Every award ceremony it's a contest to guess how many people winning the awards are actually here longer than a year. There is definitely a HUGE "the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing" problem in this company. The communication is awful. The pressure to keep adding product after product and not actually making true plans for how that will work technology-wise is completely absurd. The current system can barely handle what it's got now, but they want to keep adding more and more without improving or maintaining that system while they pressure the IT developers to spend hours upon hours, days upon days, weeks upon weeks, working on a new system to take its place which hasn't been delivered on and we're now almost a full year from the original promised launch date. All of the higher up executives have slowly been jumping ship like rats. 90% of the people who knew what was going on with the company, it's products, it's systems, it's structure, have left. And for good reason. Now most everyone who remains is only half productive at their job because they're all new and have no idea how everything works/functions and the processes for the company. Every day this gets worse because every day a new departure of one of the employees with actual knowledge happens. In three months there's probably been at least 20 people who have left of their own volition to find a better job with better pay and less stress! And with those exits, new ones come in that micromanage everyone underneath them because they have no real confidence in their employees and really don't even know the company themselves so they micromanage because their jobs before were an entirely different breed than BHG. There's a dozen and one to a hundred more things that are wrong here. They need to really start looking at why the people with the experience and the knowledge are leaving. Also, it's very tacky for people to have so many affairs in the company they own/work for. Come on, it's a job, a business. Its not a brothel and it's not cool that there's so much drama within.

Pros

BHG has been a great place to grow my career over the past five years. The combination of strong leadership, a supportive culture, and continued investment in employees makes it a place I’m proud to be part of—and I look forward to continuing my journey here for years to come. Outstanding People & Culture: One of BHG’s biggest strengths, its people. My teams are collaborative, supportive, and invested in everyone's success. The environment makes you feel valued and motivated to do your best. Strong Leadership: Leadership at the top demonstrates commitment to the company’s success and its employees. Investment in Employees: BHG genuinely invests in its people, whether through tools, professional development, or embracing innovation. This focus helps employees grow which directly strengthens the company! I love this! Benefits & Perks: The benefits package is competitive and well-rounded. Wellness Fridays are a standout perk and show that the company prioritizes work-life balance and employee well-being.

Cons

Dynamic & Engaging Work: Its a fast-paced environment, but it keeps things interesting and provides opportunities to grow and work on impactful initiatives that drive the business forward. Sometimes this can lead to rework, or multiple people doing working on the same things. i.e.: Borrower Portals.
