Pros

Some benefits that I enjoy or look forward to taking advantage of are health club subsidizing, tuition reimbursement and flex scheduling. There's also a company wide hour change between memorial day and labor day where everyone works longer Monday-Thursday but on Friday we're out and enjoying the weekend by 1230.

Cons

Being a smaller department, career advancements down the road might be a bit more difficult to come by.

The business remains one of the oldest family-owned companies in the US, that continues to see growth and success. There's transparency with results and we avoid the unnecessary fiscal exercises that are tied back to shareholder reporting with publically traded companies. The culture is one of respect and flexibility.

Cons

There are be some over conservatism at times, but the long history of success speaks for itself.
