Pros

Low key atmoshpere. Politics is low comparied to other companies I worked for partly because it is a family business. Well run, the current CEO is pretty sharp and treats people well. Started pulling back on work from home but still allowing a hybrid work environment which is not too bad.

Cons

Low pay for the levels but probably ok locally. Tend to hire from outside for higher positions instead of promoting from within. Used to be a more family oriented culture. Trying to be a big company now and losing some of the positive aspects of the cultrue

Pros

The business remains one of the oldest family-owned companies in the US, that continues to see growth and success. There's transparency with results and we avoid the unnecessary fiscal exercises that are tied back to shareholder reporting with publically traded companies. The culture is one of respect and flexibility.

Cons

There are be some over conservatism at times, but the long history of success speaks for itself.
