Cons
The 1 to 3 star reviews provide an accurate depiction of this company in regard to how associates are treated and business is conducted. Anything higher than a 3 star is either an individual that has been at Bissell for more than 5 years & doesn’t know what a toxic workplace is or they are a leader trying to skew the star ratings. Bissell will continue to lose employees if they do not fix the way people are treated and the overwhelming workload using outdated systems. This includes looking at the product marketing leaders that have lost multiple employees from their teams, especially those who have left without having a job lined up. There is a clear lack of respect from leadership toward executional roles and proper training for people leadership. There is a tone that you should comply with the current narrative and put blinders on toward the blatant issues we are all facing. Not a single person looks happy when you walk the aisles in the building, it's depressing. A senior leader recently told a large group that we are "all leaders and are responsible for providing inspiration”. This was a literal cop out from the responsibility of being a LEADER and addressing how the high attrition rate will be solved. That single comment is a great representation of the current atmosphere at Bissell.
