Pros

Was able to build relationships whilst working; that is all.

Cons

Management will leave you out to dry. The school division of BJC where counselors are contracted to work within particular schools, is run very poorly. The manager has never done the job, is clueless to everyday needs of her employees, will be nice to your face and immediately gossip about you to school staff, will not authorize any payments made for tools that would enhance your ability to conduct your job, has spies in each school that she will believe over you, and will stop speaking to you despite many emails and calls while she entertains gossip and libelous talk from others. She makes what could be a great department of BJC to work in completely unbearable after your 1 week with her. Her name, which is very close to sounding like “Caramel” is the worst manager I have ever had in my 18 years of doing this work.

Pros

Consistent work flow, communication with doctors/patients

Cons

Communication, leadership, salary. They use PTO accrual so if you dont have enough PTO for a holiday (even though your location is closed) you do not get paid.
