Pros

Great Benefits and Pay Wages

Cons

Draconian Slave System built on the backs of hard-working engineers and conductors. Uses a points system that caps out at 30 points. In order to get 4 of those points back you need to stay marked up (no taking days off and on call 24/7) for 25 days consecutively. If your happily married with kids don't take this job. The company does not care about you or your family and that's a fact. They only care about their profits and what looks good on paper.

Pros

The internship was super educational, paid well, and provided me with valuable experience.

Cons

Depending on what location you go to, the internship is more or less structured. I had a very structured day to day schedule, but had to identify my own project to pursue. If you are a self started and mildly ambitious, then you’ll go far.
