Pros
Excellent salary, good benefits, nice facilities
Cons
Company is in transition as a lot of experience is retiring and there is no orderly transition to new hires and training and support is minimal. Communication is more form rather than substance and managers do a very poor job of communicating effectively with subordinates. Additionally, there is limited movement or advancement. As always, politics does play a part and reviews become more of a beauty contest rather than a true evaluation. There are plenty of empty chairs, ones filled with people who make no effort but manage to stay employed. This puts the burden on others to make up for the slacking employees and adversely affects work/life balance. Oh, and be prepared to have your ideas stolen and receive no credit or benefit. HR department is worthless. Lastly, the company is transitioning many positions to their Topeka office which makes advancement, unless you re-locate, difficult.
