      Pros

      Fair pay, decent hours and work/life balance. Room to grow and advance.

      Cons

      Very bureaucratic. Getting anything done requires forms, approvals, and waiting. Long time employees are set in their ways, resistant to change. Constant distracting churn of re-orgs and new programs that are rarely completed. Lots of "Game of Thrones" style intrigue and backstabbing among middle management.

      Pros

      After the latest re-structuring and going agile, I don't find any. But before, a stable bank with a good book of work. Positive environment with support from your colleagues. Industry standard medical plan and vacations.

      Cons

      Bonuses and salary raises are hugely dependent on who you know in the senior management and how they perceive you rather than what you actually delivered.
