Pros
My team is excellent and my team mates are my friends. We're very good at our jobs and passionate about what we do.
Cons
For as big as BNY Mellon is, we are surprisingly bad at making strategic decisions. Private Wealth management seems to do a lot of ready, shoot, aim, which results in self inflicted injuries and decisions that are later walked back. Senior management talks a lot about work life balance and employee well being but their decisions have most employees thinking they don't really mean it. They're either completely out of touch with the hours being worked by employees trying to meet corporate objectives or they don't care. During my time and BNY Mellon I've seen some very good managers and some spectacularly bad ones. The bad ones always managed to hang on way too long. Compensation is lousy. To get a decent raise you pretty much have to leave the firm.
