Pros

Working from home was convenient but they were wishy-washy on when to bring employees back into the office

Cons

After I accepted the position, it took almost a month for anyone to ship me my equipment. I literally could not do anything for the first few weeks. Then, my onboarding and training was very disorganized. Nobody communicated with me and nobody cared about me whatsoever. Finally I was just getting up to speed then I was suddenly let go after only 3.5 months. I got a call from a manager out of the blue saying they were changing their work processes and didn't need me any more. I received no severance pay, just my unused PTO. Overall this was a very horrible experience. Stay away from this hot mess!

Pros

Work life balance is good for the most part.

Cons

Everyone in upper management (including our CEO) has come from JP Morgan or Goldman Sachs while employees who have worked at BNY for 20+ years are not being chosen for promotion opportunities. Looking to juniorize the company yet give zero training and support for analysts starting out. The culture has completely changed over the last few years, looks like a different company.
