Pros
Good benefits, decent salary (nothing special, average)
Cons
Understaffed - better salaries and easier schedules elsewhere; be prepared to do 5 people's jobs Overworked - not enough people and corporate is always adding more work. Whatever your workload is now, in 6 months it will be doubled Average pay at best - average pay, hemorrhaging experienced employees to competitors because of it No flexibility from management - you were down to 20% of your normal staff for months at a time? Too bad, we will still penalize you for missing deadlines and put it on your record forever Little to no chance for internal transfers - it does happen but it is rare. If you do well at what you do you will not be given permission to transfer by upper management. Any transfers you get are almost guaranteed to be dumped on your from another manager Easy to turn into a toxic work environment - it doesn't always happen but with frustrated employees and strict/micro managers it is a recipe for disaster
