Pros

Ample Overtime Opportunities: Plenty of overtime available for those seeking extra hours and pay. Nice Office Space: Clean and modern office environment, providing a pleasant workspace.

Cons

Poor Contractor Treatment: Contractors are often treated as just a number, with no benefits and little recognition. Open Seating Policy: Can make the workspace feel impersonal and hectic. High Pressure to Be On-Site: Contractors are pressured to come into the office, with limited flexibility for remote work. No Time Off: Time off is not available, making it difficult to balance work and personal life. Unpredictable Contract Renewals: Contractors are informed only a day before their contract ends whether it will be extended, creating job insecurity.

Pros

Some of the internal platforms have dev teams that would rival any other tech company. Can learn a lot if you end up on one of those teams.

Cons

Completely crap shoot as to if you land on a good team or a completely incompetent one. If you're on a bad one good luck. On a bad team you can expect vague work requirements and huge work loads with unmanageable delivery timelines. Also they're outsourcing to India heavily. Also also, most senior management is completely out of touch with reality and don't understand the tech stack they own (more you interact with them the more frighteningly obvious it becomes). HR is completely incompetent, of course, it's an open secret at the bank.
