Pros

- Flexible PTO/WFH policy - Talented employees

Cons

- No communication across teams, and a visibly fractured relationship between product and marketing - No room for progression and promotion, unless you are a CEO favorite - No innovation/a lot of repeating the same ideas over and over - Extremely weak executive team, and employees see right through it. Here is a summary of those who are the face of the company who have the most influence over the broad work environment: You have a senior executive who has very little ability to influence the CEO despite being the key driver of BOLD's products. Random ideas from the CEO to become a big part of how performance is evaluated (even if the idea has zero chance of generating revenue). Newer random ideas from the CEO will then replace the old ones and become top priority. You have another senior executive who no one knows what exactly he does, what value he adds, or where his key products are headed, but he's good friends with the CEO, so no one says a word. He's known at the company as the king of finger-pointing. It's always someone else's fault, even if a project he was responsible for had failed prior to launch. You have a third senior executive who started with a big initiative (which was all outsourced and done by someone else), then absolutely nothing. Years later, the company's target audience is yet to hear of any of the BOLD brands. Basic understanding of core functions managed is not there, and she never took the time to learn any of it, opting to hire a lot of VPs instead (they are leaving one by one, without being replaced).

Pros

Work from home, great benefits, flexible PTO, competitive pay, bonus structure, 401k match.

Cons

A more Horizontal corporate structure than most other companies can leave you working more independently than most other companies. It's a global company so some of your partners may be on the other side of the planet. It's a very asynchronous company and some employees may struggle to adjust to the freedom and accountability.

Pros

The product managers were very helpful. They are the reason why Bold gets one star. Also, if you've been there for 4 years or more, you seem to like it.

Cons

I've never been so stressed in the first 30 days of a job. The senior manager gossiped about me and didn't have the knowledge to execute or to properly define expectations. I couldn't get feedback or clear expectations from the VP on down. It was like I was supposed to read minds. My advice is to run away.
