Cons
BOLD is one of the worst companies I’ve worked for. Do NOT believe the good reviews. I am so happy I have gotten rid of this place. It’s not only a total waste of your time, it can also give you emotional distress. If you have ever worked for a serious company or an organized department you are up to astonishment, surprise and frustration as they lack any type of direction, organized procedures and guidelines, reasonable goals or transparency. They make promises during the hiring process just to lure you into working for them but they have zero intention of honoring them. The company lacks any transparency. You will never ever meet anyone from the C-suite nor even know their names and positions, nor the VP of your department or almost no one from other departments. All information goes from top to bottom, scarcely passed by your direct manager, that’s all. Business model is sketchy, the product is no good, actually is based in a sort of scam, the on boarding is lacking to say the least. Everything is suspiciously opaque and has an unsettling amateurish air to it. Forget about learning SEO or Digital marketing because no one has real SEO expertise to start with. You will be surrounded by mediocre professionals while being pressured into hitting goals that are unrealistic to start with. You will lack resources as they are understaffed and disorganized, and you will not be able to implement the strategies and best practices needed for success as they are scared of anything new or implementing real changes, even though the portals are not performing as they would like to while at the same time being micromanaged. Yes, it sounds crazy and it is crazy. You will work with SEO managers that are neither SEO expert nor managers, as they fail big time in both departments. My now ex-manager's SEO expertise is based on outdated early 2000s SEO practices as believing keywords should be used in exact match even if that means the content sounds unnatural and weird, among other shocking statements that would startle any real SEO professional in 2023 and make him or her want to pull their hair out in despair and frustration. She has a history of ‘getting rid’ of anyone talented enough to pose a ‘threat’ to her or innocent enough to voice their concerns about the lack of real direction, transparency and logical procedures in the department in particular and/or the company as a whole. She will trick ‘unwanted’ employees, plot against them and then report them to HR, while forgiving anything her favorites do. Yes, this is as Machiavellian and schemy as it sounds. Unless you are very entry level or desperately in need of a job, steer clear of this joke of a company. Heed my advice.
