Pros

Great culture (though it's waning quickly) Great people (though some are leaving) Solid benefits - free lunch/food; game rooms; work events Mission and Vision are challenging and rewarding

Cons

Multiple things: 1. Brain Corp's Mission and Vision are motivating but they are not well defined and are in desperate need of a detailed strategy to fully accomplish them. There are leaders who can't/won't get on board with the strategy in place and keep pulling teams of engineers and/or employees down rabbit holes to solve unprofitable or unscalable projects. 2. There was an influx of employees from a single company who have refused to integrate into Brain Corp and instead push to do things the way they were done previously, right or wrong. Since they all came within a short period of time, none have needed to build relationships with Brain leadership so there is a strange tension. There is also very strong evidence of favoritism from managers and HR for these employees. 3. Poor communication from HR. Always changing things but never explaining why; using sub-par tools; always an excuse as to why not instead of providing a solution. Commitments made are never kept. Good talent is leaving and there will likely be more.

Pros

- Great environment to learn, try new things, and get exposed to all sides of robotics - Many opportunities to show your worth and take ownership - Engineering organization is flexible, communicative, and understanding. - Generally a good work-life balance.

Cons

- Executive and product team seems clueless on how the company will continue to make money - Company is trying to sell too many products without even having any flagship products that consistently make money - Still run like a startup that sustains itself on engineers being understaffed and overworking themselves to keep the company above water - Corporate side of the company is completely disconnected from engineering
