Pros
BRG is a good place to get hands-on data experience and exposure to multiple fields (healthcare is particularly strong in the DC office). Working hours can be unpredictable (including the weekends) but the junior and senior staffers are all pleasant. I would say that this is one of the few jobs where an entry level consultant will get to experience true data-analytics (summarization and viz mostly, but some teams do modeling). For economics minded folks this could certainly be a great place to start a career.
Cons
Junior staff may find it hard to get assigned to cases with good managers and work they find interesting. If you are a solid worker and able to advocate for yourself you'll have no problems getting to work with great management but otherwise you'll be assigned as work comes. As with all consulting, the quality of experience comes from your particular case and its managers/experts. Luckily cases come and go quick enough a bad case won't drag you down for too long.
