Pros
Good pay and benefits, opportunity for Junior staff to learn technical skills on the job. If you are a white, straight man - this is a great place for you. Plenty of opportunity to speak above others, gain more recognition than you deserve, and more opportunities to rub elbows with leadership and "connect" and make friends. Good luck to anyone who is not a white, straight, male taking this job.
Cons
Diversity at this company is terrible. Any of these other reviews that claim it is "inclusive" or "diverse" place as a pro and rating BRG 5 stars, makes me question the validity of those reviews and wonder if it's leadership coming onto Glassdoor to skew these numbers. The lack of diversity is very clear on all public facing pages - just look at the people in leadership and the way they talk about diversity. Little action, little explanation of programming they are doing (hint, it's because there is no programming), and they only recently started even trying to care about these issues in June 2020 when the white male dominated leadership discovered that racism still existed in this country and finally felt pressured to do something. A year later, and still not much has changed at the org. Unless you fit this outdated "mold" of what a professional is supposed to be (i.e., white and male and hetero and a personality based on sports), you will have a hard time bringing your full self to work and connecting with others at BRG. There is a reason why the company has such a hard time retaining diverse talent. Most of the staff is just weird and awkward and it makes it a miserable place to work. The best thing about Covid WFH was not having to deal with these terrible personal interactions on a daily basis. Also, work life balance is terrible. Yeah, it's consulting.... but no amount of money is worth the toll this job will have on your mental health. Think twice before taking it and accept that you will really have to cut into your personal life on a regular basis.
