Treat long-standing staff VERY well (8+ years). Try to align whole company culture. Good induction programme. Nice offices.
Cons
The company culture is very happy clappy "we will go above and beyond etc" however this is imposed upon staff and does not come about naturally. It would be great if they truly inspired people to do this and not simply expected them to as part of their day to day. Why would anyone want to go above and beyond if they didn't feel valued and appreciated to do so? There is no trust from German HQ to UK team. They do not understand/care that there are significant differences in markets and internal systems. From senior manager to mid-level managers, they all seem to pass the pressure to team below. There is no spirit of supporting each other or working collaboratively. It is simply "don't care how it's done but get it done".
