Pros
Once you get a hang of your role other chemist are very welcoming and are willing to be flexible with you.
Cons
Upper management will force you to stay late and there is very little visible or acknowledgement for putting in extra hours. It really will depend on what department you go into. It can take very long to get noticed in the company to move up. At one point they sent home the production team for two weeks because there was suddenly no work, this was without warning, and force people to use their PTO to get paid during that time.
