Pros
I will mention this since it seems not everyone shares my experience on these posts but I am a female employee and have not had the same (or any) sexist issues I have experienced at the several other Milwaukee manufacturing companies I have worked for. I think Badger Meter has amazing new management and some of the best people I have ever worked with. The company has a vision for the future and is pushing for growth and to be cutting edge in both employee experiences and product. I am exciting to be working here at this time because it has provided me a lot of opportunities to make an impact on the company as they are not stagnant. Everything is not perfect of course but they are trying to improve and I like that because it provides opportunities for personal growth and to share ideas. I am never board and overall, my co-workers are excellent. The company focuses a lot on hiring high quality employees and really listens to concerns and responds. Every quarter we have a meeting with the CEO and executive leadership and are allowed to openly ask questions, many of which have been responded to with change. I would highly recommend.
Cons
I think there are always more improvements that could be made but one I would like to see is in benefits. We recently got parental leave (men and women) which is awesome but would like to see the ability to roll over vacation year to year. The defined contribution plan is great (5%) but I think there is some additional items that could be added.
