Pros
Work with students to help them become employable when they have few if any other options.
Cons
A disproportionate number of students should not be in college wasting taxpayer dollars. Many of the students were raised in "less than optimal" home situations and it shows in their lack of respect toward instructors and wanting something for nothing. Management has absolutely no concern for their employees well being. There are unrealistic demands placed on their employees and no compliments for a job well done, probably due to the fact that they might have to give you a raise if they state that you did anything well. Most of the higher level administrators have impressive titles but don't have substantial academic credentials from reputable institutions. Most of them either don't have the same credentials that their peers "in title" at other institutions have. A disturbing proportion of them have on-line degrees from the bottom of the rung institutions. If you are a professional with decent education and experience, don't waste your time working for this institution.
