Pros

Good benefits, flexible work arrangements. Managers respected technical people and didn't micromanage. Most employees are high performers.

Cons

They have had layoffs it seems every year for the last decade. Nobody is safe other than executive level making the cuts. Constant restructuring & rebranding from retiring the names of the legacy OFS divisions, one baker hughes, failed hallibirton merger, being acquired by GE, combining with GE O&G, renaming to BHGE, to being sold again by GE, to new logos and another rebrand, now another restructure. There only focus seems to being acquired again and it be successful. Latest round of layoffs came from yet another restructuring into 2 business segments. It came down from executive level what positions didn't fit the new org charts and to lay them off. Managers had no say even up to director level. Indiscriminate cuts, with day's notice, no plans to replace expertise or workload. The company was already being ran very lean with no technical talent in the pipeline. Few people doing a lot of work. Sometimes only a single point of contact for entire products or services. I dont see a bright future for the company.

Pros

Competent management, excellent benefits, competitive pay, and a work life balance that is impossible to compete with

Cons

The totem pole of management is so monumentally tall that the mid and upper management make decisions affecting those on the bottom with no real understanding of what the consequences of their decision are.
