Pros
Owned by a large, established, blue chip company that provides stability. Meaningful, world changing projects, opportunities to learn on the job.
Cons
The Dayton, Ohio management has re-organized several times, but they keep shuffling the same people around in slightly different but basically the same positions. It feels like they keep promoting a couple of the (new) directors out of failure. There is a family dynasty in the Dayton office that somehow always emerges untouched and better off from any leadership changes. Very much a good 'ole boys club who's membership was decided long ago and does not change. Those in charge were decent technical people that have been promoted to management but do not seem to have any business acumen and do not come across as willing to learn anything new. Management by crisis is the norm. Management regularly substitutes their own reality and ignores what the data is telling them. Leadership keeps doing the same things over again expecting different results.
