Pros
Super friendly and smart people is what sets Ball apart from other companies in the industry. I truly do have the work life balance I've always wanted and the flexibility is super nice. Benefits are pretty average for Colorado, I was lucky enough to be included in the pension plan, with it being taken away from employees who started right after me. But good lucky trying to stay for 5 years to make it worth it!
Cons
I was lied to during recruitment and accepted an entry level non-exempt position to get my "foot in the door" during covid. Even with 5+ years of manufacturing and quality experience under my belt, in management positions mind you, I was told since I started as "non-exempt", I do not qualify for higher level salary positions that I previously obtained at other companies. Ball uses a "years of service at Ball" to justify giving people lower paid positions, and it doesn't matter what sort experience you have obtained outside of Ball. I have asked to be provided with the approved "policies" that justify this, and they have failed to provide me with any sort of documentation. HR clearly doesn't care about you, or your career, and will save the company money at the cost of retention. If you want to climb the latter and build a future for yourself here, expect it to take 10 years on a crap salary that does not meet the cost of living standards in Colorado. Also, get everything in writing from this place! Too many empty promises to count on one hand.
