In Tallinn they have Tech Studio and Game Studio. In Tech studio it is quite easy make a career if you understand the technical aspects. The problem is that being a geek is not enogh to be a good leader. You might encounter people who join stand-ups of every team, bring nothing valueable there but can tell some homophobic stories from time to time. Or who turn the onboarding into a complete mess. You might work with team leads who cannot organize their teams effectively by turning Agile into... not a Watefall, but some some strange approach where a boss individually assigns tasks. Another problem is team domains, a newcomer can easily join a team that receives updates for third-party code and writes SQL scripts. Very exciting!
