Pros

None beyond the remote work aspect that they took away from all employees and laid off anyone like myself who was fully remote.

Cons

This isn't Ballys, its Gamesys with a terrible re-brand. Ballys is the biggest example of corporate "me too-ism". After laying off key employees as a desperate attempt towards profitability in January (including my direct report), it's been a progressive decline. Here's a few bullet points to describe my experience: - Overfilled with paper-pushing middle managers that don't really know anything about marketing. - Little to no contact with a new direct report. Will leave you resource-less while they leave early to attend soccer matches. - No room for growth. - No annual performance review - Recently changed our "bonus" compensation - Little to no top down communication besides a quarterly webinar where they really aren't open to feedback beyond their pointless surveys. - Poor performance is blamed on the wrong people internally

Bally's Interactive Response

We appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us. Like many tech-based companies, we experienced some restructuring during 2023; these decisions were not taken lightly however we believe that they were necessary in order to ensure the success and sustainability of our Interactive markets. Although these changes did not come without challenges, we remain committed to fostering a culture of communication and collaboration. The need for regular review and assessment is a key priority, which we supported last year by rolling out a standardized annual performance review and bonus program for all Bally’s Interactive teams. As an organization spread over a large number of locations around the world, it can be challenging to find channels of communication which suit everyone’s needs, and we are sorry to hear that you did not feel like there was enough transparency during your time with us. In addition to quarterly updates, we also endeavour to share information within the company via regular email updates, our intranet portal, and information screens in offices. Because of the size of the organization, we believe that taking the time to circulate an annual or bi-annual survey is essential in order to gather feedback in an efficient and data-driven way. Regardless of this structure, we do believe in the importance of feedback as we strive to nurture a positive working environment; we invite you to reach out to our senior HR leadership directly via feedback@ballys.com if you have any further thoughts you wish to share.

Pros

Cool office Good location Occasionally free food Beer in fridge

Cons

Everything else. The office is usually a ghost town. Training is poor, exceptionally poor. Trainer acts as if annoyed when you ask a question. HR is remote, unreachable, and does not care about employees. It is clear overall that Bally’s doesn’t care about employees in the slightest. Terrible benefits. You have to pay $150 out of your own pocket to go through licensing. Why do you think we’re working? The company should cover all expenses. I wish I never accepted this job, it’s just been a waste of time and a rollercoaster. They will also mismanage your paycheck. Unorganized from top to bottom and not a good place to work. Diversity is lacking and it’s apparent. Very odd vibe in the office. Poor technology provided. When you think Bally’s think “bare minimum” because that’s what you’ll receive.
