Pros

Intelligent, caring staff who strive to provide stellar customers service.

Cons

Can be stressful. Every year we "have to do more with less". Salaries are good for managers but for everyone else, it's pretty stagnant except in your first 10 year you get minor merit (salary) increases plus cost of living increases (if COLAS are given by county and sometimes they are not). After 10 years no more merit (salary) increases unless you get a cost of living increase which doesn't happen every year and when it does happen the increase is usually 1-2% tops, which is often just enough to put you in the next tax bracket so you wind up with less money in your check after the raise.

Pros

The management team at my branch was skilled, empathetic, and collaborative

Cons

No cons really. My branch is across the street from a middle school, so teenagers are very much that Branch's bread and butter.
