Pros

I travelled across Europe for 2.5 years without spending a single cent. Challenging high-stakes projects. Operation teams was close-knit, great people Project management proactive and working hand-in-hand with commissioning Despite its high commissioning complexity, the solution is probably the most flexible on the market. Never had any issue with work-life balance but also I had no life back then, which made it very easy to balance with work

Cons

Salary is very low (35k€ gross in 2020), only way to make a decent living is to stay on site 100%, it adds ~12-13k€ gross per year No idea why they stick with their homemade programming language, literally no benefits R&D management completely disconnected from on-site reality, regularly dismissed operational feedback and preferred to focus on useless trendy features (cloud, UX, etc.) Focus on selling projects without necessarily accounting for feasibility, which leads to some projects being still open after 3+ years Very dysfunctional software release process, probably due to the CTO's decisions from 15 years ago Weird secrecy surrounding the localisation algorithm, like it's not one of the worst performing SLAM algorithm I've ever seen Back then they had 6 C-Level positions, nonsense when you're not making a profit (CXO, what does that even mean). Cut the top management and pay your operations team better
